A microwave meter for rapid determination of moisture content in sand and other fine and coarse aggregrates.
Calibration Procedures
- Dry sample in low heat using oven. It is suggested to weight sample prior to drying.
- When sample has lost all moisture, calibration can be started.
Weight dried sample
- Add water by 2 percent increments.
i.e. 4,000 grams – 2 percent water = 80 grams of water
Turn T-90 on
- Using up or down arrows, scroll through the menu selection until Direct mode appears on the T-90 display. (It is recommended to erase all prior data saved in the T-90. (T-90 manual page 11))
- Take 10 readings for each percentage. Store each reading by pressing enter.
- After T-90 has hit full saturation (direct reading 409.5 percent), uploading data to C. Software is necessary.
- Uploading can be done by connecting the Trident™ to the P.C. using the supplied RS232 cable.
- Use instructions in the T-90 manual pages 14-17 to successfully accomplish calibration.
- Once analyzation has been completed with the T-90 P.C. Software, the Offset and the Gain will be displayed.
Write down these two values.
- Return to the T-90 and enter a user program. (T-90 manual page 7 “Change user program”)
Once the gain and offset have been enter
- d in the T-90, calibration has been completed.
