Roll hardness is an important quality in the working process of paper, film or foil regardless of which industry you are in. The problems range from rolls being too soft, rolls wound unevenly, rolls that are too hard, or having high moisture content. Any or all of these issues can create a problem for the printer during the printing process.

These units are based on the principal of rebound measurement, they are light weight and very easy to use. To perform the test the user pushes the plunger head against the roll until the trigger is engaged, hold in the push button on the side of the unit and read the rebound number of the scale. The recording unit makes a mark on the chart paper for each test and the digital unit displays the rebound number and stores that number so that you can download the number latter for your records.
