ADVANCED SYSTEM FOR CORROSION RATE ANALYSIS

James Instruments, Inc. Gecor 8™ combines embedded microprocessor systems and computerized flash technology to provide an advanced method of precise corrosion rate determination of concrete reinforcing steel in existing structures. The system features a method for rapidly and precisely mapping and analyzing a structure’s corrosion rate. It introduces a new corrosion rate analysis technique for use in very wet or submerged structures, as well a new methodology for measurement of cathodic protection efficiency. The rapid-mapping capability enables the system to graphically analyze selected data and produce contour maps of suspected area-and accurately measures the true polarization resistance of the steel reinforcing bar.
