James Instruments' Charitable Giving Event

James Instruments' Employees give back to their community by making pool bags for kids at Hephzibah Children's Association

Each year the employees of James Instruments, Inc. give back to Foster Care organizations in our community with a Summer Project. The employees spend the day on a volunteer project selected from a list of needs provided by a local Foster Care agency. This past year, the employees of James, Instruments, Inc. chose to make pool bags for the all the children at the group home for Hephzibah Children’s Association in Oak Park, Illinois.

The children from the group home go to a nearby pool each week and did not have any towels or other necessities for enjoying the pool. Using art supplies and our imaginations, a pool bag was created and personalized for each child. The colorful pool bags were then filled with coordinating towels, sunscreen, water bottles, goggles and flip flops so that each child can enjoy their time at the pool.

In addition to providing the children with the necessities for the pool, the children are given the joy of having something made just for them with their names on it! Pictures were taken of the children when the bags were delivered. They were ecstatic. We would love to show the kids, but we have to protect their privacy. However, there are pictures of us creating the pool bags, the finished project, and our delivery to the staff at Hephzibah Children’s Association. We are looking forward to our summer 2019 project!
